The Pattern 109 is a 3-1/2 Aluminum Sideliner that is part of the Bear Edge line and weighs 2.4 ounces. The 2-5/8 hollow ground modified drop point blade is made with 440 High Carbon Stainless Steel with a bead blast finish to help prevent rust and is easy to sharpen. Pattern 109 is designed especially for easy opening as it features thumb studs and a thumb flipper to smoothly open the blade as well as smooth action ball bearing washers to assist in locking the blade in place with one quick flick of the thumb. Pattern 109 also features a thumb flipper that allows the carrier to easily open the blade. The stainless-steel sideliner lock ensures that the blade remains firmly in place and jimping is present on the sideliner lock and top of the blade for a more secure grip. The lightweight aluminum frame features a reversible pocket/boot clip for tip-up carry for either left- or right-hand carry and quick access. A lanyard spacer is present on the back of the handle for secure fastening and storage. Pattern 109 also has the Bear Edge logo engraved onto the blade and pocket/boot clip.
